Paint Nite - fun evening and a new hobby
by Simon inwe (and by 'we', i mean my wife) decided that we should try something new and she, erm, i mean 'we', liked the idea of painting.
so i enthusiastically (i.e.
begrudgingly) went along for the night to the "pain nite" event she'd booked us for a couple of weeks ago.. the premise is pretty simple: it's held in a pub or restaurant, all the art supplies are provided, the instructor then walks you through how to reproduce a painting they have chosen for the night and you have a glass of wine or beer, do some painting, have something to eat, have some more wine, more painting, more wine, realize you are drinking the dirty paint water and so on.. here's the site: https://www.paintnite.com/.

I seem to be wrong about the present demographics of JWN. I was basing that statement on the seeming older age of most posters several years ago. However, many of them are gone and we've had a massive influx of newbies across all age spans which is attributable to the increased shenanigans of the Watchtower. That is likely to effect people of all ages.
As of this moment the 50+ group is slightly under 40% which is still a big bite.

Interesting Pew Stats on JWs--Alarming Trends for the Borg
by Cadellin insomeone may have linked to this already, but the this interactive page in the pew religion study is pretty interesting, especially when you look at the trends for jw between 2007 and 2014. here's what it shows:.
jws are increasingly non-white.
in fact, the percentage of white jws has decreased from 2007 to 2014 by 12%, while hispanic jws have increased by 8%.

Yes, but the OP was asking about the age of us "who use this forum". I took that to mean posters though I may have interpreted that wrongly.
However, the straw poll shows that the majority of the respondents (lurkers or not) are definitely over 40.

been religious is about been superior to others in the sight of god.
however, been spiritual is about self awareness, inner peace and unity with the natural world.

The oldsters have the most perspective because they can look back through several decades worth of history.
